Azzurra Pizza, a family-friendly, casual-dining restaurant, is now owned and operated by the Deserio family. Francesco (Frank) and his two sons, Giuseppe (Joe) and Leonardo (Lenny), purchased the restaurant last July and have been dishing out favorites to Sea Isle City ever since.
Raised in the restaurant industry, Frank, Joe and Lenny maintain a family tradition of building their businesses together. The family owns two other restaurants in New Jersey: a pizzeria that has been in business for more than 35 years, and a Mexican restaurant that opened in 2014.
Azzurra Pizza offers dine-in, takeout and delivery. The deck offers the option for outdoor dining and there also is a pet-friendly outdoor patio. Craving lunch on the beach? Azzurra Pizza also delivers there, so you can enjoy your meal with your toes in the sand … just beware of seagulls! Some of the feature menu items include the Grandma Pizza, the traditional giant horseshoe-shaped stromboli, homemade meatballs, and hand-breaded eggplant. All hoagies and cheesesteaks are served on fresh Liscio’s rolls.
