How do I know my pillow cover size? ›

To measure, remove the pillow cover from insert / filler, turn the cover inside out, lay the cover on a flat surface and measure from the inside seam to seam. If the measurement is taken from the front of the pillow cover side to side, the sizing will be smaller than the actual pillow cover size.

We generally recommend using inserts that are 2" larger all around than your finished pillow size. For example if you have an 18x18 pillow cover, you'll want to use a 20x20 insert. This will ensure that your pillow is filled out fully and looks luxuriously plump.

In terms of pillow insert sizing, the general rule of thumb is to use inserts that are 1″-2″ larger than your pillow cover. (I usually go 2″ larger.) So for example, with a 22″ square cover, use a 24″ square insert. Going a step larger with the insert makes for a more voluminous, high end look.

As with other cover sizes, it is recommended to select a pillow insert that is 1-2 inches larger than the cover. For a 16x16 inch cover, an 18x18 inch pillow insert would provide the perfect amount of fill, ensuring a comfortable and stylish pillow.

The size of the Standard pillowcases is 20 by 26 inches. These are the most used pillowcases and are made to fit both a Standard- and Queen-size pillow.

The best option you can choose is fabrics that offer maximum softness and cosiness that will last you a long time.

So just remember, we use the term pillow to describe a sleep support, whereas cushions are usually the items we use for comfort and decoration, but we're actually not that fussy about which you use… just as long as you're putting together a fabulous bunch of them!

Common cushion cover sizes include 30x50cm, 40x40cm, 45x45cm, 50x50cm, 55x55cm, and 60x60cm.

By rule of thumb, your cushion inner should be 1-2 inches larger than the cushion cover. This helps achieve a plump look and holds the shape of the cushion well, which will be properly filled and comfortable. Some cushion inners can vary in size due to a few reasons, for example, different brands and type of filling.

The secret to creating a plump, filled out cushion is simply using an insert approximately 5cm bigger than the cushion cover. This basically fills out the 4 corners of the cushion cover better and gives the cushion more depth. Try it! : for 45x45cm cushion covers, a 50x50cm cushion insert is best.

The best way to know what size your pillow is would be to measure it. Using a measuring tape, determine the width and length and then compare the measurements to the standard measurements for each pillow size. Whichever size the measurements best correspond to is likely what size the pillow is.
